About our Parish
Christ Our Savior's Lutheran Parish is a warm, vibrant church community of two congregations located just north of Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania. We strive to live in relationship to our Lord by being Christian first. Secondly, we live this relationship guided by the confessional Lutheran faith. Thus we pray for the entire Christian church as the living body of Jesus Christ and for unity as witnessed in One Godhead. Then we live love in relationship to Christ and others affirming the church as outlined in Article VII of the Augsburg Confession (1530) that we are and shall together strive to be the assembly of all believers among whom the Gospel is purely preached and the sacraments are administered according to the Gospel.
Called by grace through faith to receive Holy Baptism and to follow Jesus Christ, we gather for the reception of God's Holy Word and Sacraments, we celebrate with thanksgiving God's unconditional love, we share new life graciously given through love in repentance, healing forgiveness and equipped to be disciples for one another and the world that is captive to sin, evil and death. Christ is the light that darkness can not grasp.
Pastor
Rev. Jill E. McGregor
Pastor Jill has served Christ Our Savior’s Lutheran Parish since being ordained on February 2, 2008. She graduated with a M.Div. degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus Ohio in 2007. Prior to her call into ministry, Jill earned B.S. in Dairy Science and an M.B.A. in Agribusiness Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo California. She held various positions in the food and agribusiness sectors. Ecumenical and confessionally focused, her continuing education is done through the Center for Catholic and Evangelical Theology (CCET).
It is a joy and privilege for Pastor Jill to serve the people of Christ Our Savior’s Lutheran Parish, the surrounding communities and the people sent to receive the Gospel through us.
